What is our price range?

Our ideal client has a budget of $75-$130 per guest that includes their menu, rentals, bartending and service. But there are exceptions to that ideal. We have menus that accommodate a starting price range of $30-$35 per guest, for just the food. Anything above that price range will have an increase due to the type of food and any additional add-ons (ie. Rentals, bartending, travel fee when applicable and so on). The type of service will also affect the overall cost as well. For example, a buffet style service is more cost effective than a plated or family style service because plated and family style require more staffing. In short, our quotes are custom to each client’s individual needs.

How does bartending work with Essence?

Bartending only applies to our Full-Service package. We have the license to serve, not the license to buy and sell. Meaning, it is the responsibility of our clients to purchase any and all alcohol served at tour event. Essence of the Thymes, LLC provides licensed bartenders. Our bartenders must follow all WA State liquor control board regulations/laws. This is not limited to but includes checking ID and stopping service to intoxicated guests. If you are using this service, you must purchase a Washington State Liquor banquet permit for the day of your event. We cannot serve without this permit, signed and posted at your event. Any hard alcohol service must be discussed and approved prior to your event; we do not permit shots or bottles to be taken to tables. All alcohol must be dispensed from the bartender. Any alcohol personally dispensed will be confiscated and result in closure of the bar. Events of 120 guests or more must book two (2) bartenders for a minimum of three (3) hours, plus travel if applicable. Additionally, food must be made available to your guests within 30 minutes of beginning of bar service, otherwise bar service may be paused at the discretion of the Event Lead and bartender(s). Essence of the Thymes, LLC requires closure of bar half hour prior to expected guest departure.

Are there Travel Fees?

Our service area is within 45 mins of our location/kitchen. We are in Port Orchard, and service the greater Kitsap County. Anything outside of that will be charged a travel fee. That fee all depends on the hours traveled to and from the venue location, for each staff member. Anything outside of an hour and a half travel time is subject to a Port Travel fee with time and a half, as well as a gas surcharge per staff member.

Does Essence have a minimum guest count?

During the May-October wedding season months, we do have a minimum guest count of 50. Anything below that will be subject to an increase in pricing. Events outside of our wedding season do not have a guest count requirement but are still subject to the price increase depending on that lower guest count.
